next generation
baby tyler is the almost 7-month-old son of my college friends ellie and herman. they made a trip from southern cal to the bay area a few weeks ago, and we got to hang out with them at theresa and gregg's new home. tyler is the first of our next generation and there's no doubt he got all our attention.
it's just hard for the camera to get his attention!
(notice we all dressed to match each other, and the couch too... haha)

just ripe peachy
the little peach tree in our backyard has yield its fruit.
this year, we took great care of it and prevented the squirrels from getting to them.
at the end, the squirrels still managed to take one from us, but still left us four super sweet and juicy donut peaches!

father's day
this father's day, we tried the boiling crab in san jose. i first heard about the boiling crab from a friend who had it in southern california, and have wanted to try it some day. the san jose store opened doors in jan 09 (the only northern cal location) and have received raving reviews from yelpers.
since dad LOVES crab, this will be a great choice for his father's day dinner. not only is the boiling crab famous for its seafood, it is also known for the long wait, so we opted for take-out. no matter if it's eat-in or take-out, they serve their dishes in a plastic bag anyway. just remember to ask for a few bibs to avoid stains and mess.

whole crab in garlic butter seasoning
but the whole sha-bang sauce is WAY better!
and we all preferred the shrimp over crab (except dad, i think...)

ryan's ride 2009 - the event
another successful year for ryan's ride!
last sunday, 667 children crossed the finish line with smiles, sweat, and a few tears.
months of planning and preparation were invested, although a few hiccups along the way, it is most rewarding when you see the young riders proudly hang the medals around their necks with big smiles.
check out these 2 wonderful photo montages by Daniela Degrassi Photography and diLuNa:
