have you ever had the problem of just needing a few leaves of a certain herb for your dish, but the supermarket only sells a big bush, which at the end, most of the leftovers go to waste? it always happens to me, especially when it comes to herbs like parsley and basil.
the other day i walked by the one-dollar-section in target and saw these mini herb grow kits, so i decided to get my fingers green.

the parsley grow kit actually comes in its own little plastic "green house".
i also potted an extra one with my green egg shell pot.
finally, on day 5, one tiny basil sprout came out from the soil.
a few more appeared the next day...
a week after sowing the seeds, the first parsley sprouted.
the basil and one of the parsley grew steadily, but still no signs from the "green house" parsley...
at last, the other parsley sprouted! a lot came out just in over one night...
let's see if i can successfully turn these into fully grown, ready to eat herbs.
because to my mom, i'm known to be a plant killer...
i was gonna buy them when i saw them at target too~~but decided not too~~coz i might kill them too =P
